Thrifting shoes can be seen as gross sometimes and when we are thrifting, typically we avoid the shoes section. They are smelly and used! Well hear me out, the next time you enter a thrift store, I encourage you to shop shoes! Here are my 5 tips to thrifting shoes.
Check the Bottoms
You’re looking to see if its missing the traction on the bottom. Make sure that there are no holes or tears in the bottoms of the shoes. This sounds kind of crazy but you want a shoe and not a sock!
Check Wear
Examine the wear on the shoes. Do they have holes on the top? Are there any scratches or dents in the shoes that may not be refurbish-able? These are all questions you should ask yourself while looking at the entire shoe.

Is the size right?
Often times thrift stores do not organize the shoes as a retailer would. They will put of the shoe and see if it sells. Check the size and always try on the shoes (bring socks)! You don’t want to take home a pair of shoes you cannot wear.
Brand
Always check the #brands on every pair of shoes! You may find some great second hand shoes just by looking at the brand. The thrift store carries and assortment of shoes, brands, and styles and knowing your way around these things will make your thrifting experience amazing!

Color
Color comes last, but is still important. Check to see if the color of the shoes is stained. There may also be many other colors of the same styles! If that is the case, it's your lucky day.
Use your best judgement when it comes to buying thrifted shoes and if you're questioning it, but it anyways because there's only one! Happy #thrifting.
